First Appearance Shikigami no Shiro II
Role Protagonist

Roger Sasuke is the name of a character in the Shikigami no Shiro series, first appearing in Shikigami no Shiro II. His shikigami is a young girl named Moonsong, who assists Roger.

Roger is introduced into the series as a Japanese ninja with American origins, and has a friendly rivalry with series protagonist Kohtaro Kuga. He has blonde hair and cyan eyes. His outfit consists of a navy blue headband with a metal strip attached to the front, a long red scarf, a blue kimono bearing a fire pattern, with a fishnet shirt underneath , a dark red belt, black boots, and dark grey-blue gloves.

When Roger reappeared in Shikigami no Shiro III, his default appearance was adjusted. The blue kimono loses its fire pattern in favor of two yellow arrows facing downward, and also is giving a slight re-vamp. The belt is changed to a brown, and loses the face present on the front, and is slightly larger. The gloves have changed to dark orange with white insides.

Roger's standard attack is firing large shuriken at an incredibly fast speed. These shuriken can only travel straight. Roger's shikigami is him summing Moonsong to produce, and toss, multiple bombs. Roger's bomb attack causes him to spin rapidly like an tornado, damaging anything in his path, and also rendering himself invincible.

Trivia Edit

  • Roger's real name is Roy Bauman.
  • It's possible he is related to Baumann from Shikigami no Shiro.
  • It is heavily implied that Roger may be homosexual, as shown in both Shikigami no Shiro II and Shikigami no Shiro III, as he expresses more than just a friendly admiration for Kohtaro Kuga.
  • When paired with Munchausen in Shikigami III, the two both crossdress for the duration of the game, redubbing themselves 'Rogelyn' and 'Munkie' upon reaching Yukari Horiguchi.
  • Roger is from America, despite his Japanese surname and role as a ninja.
